St. Francesca Resource Center

The St. Francesca Resource Center was opened to respond to the increasing need, in the Chippewa Falls area, for food assistance. The number of households which will visit an emergency food resource to meet their needs has increased by more than 30% in the last 18 months as of December 2014. Our goal is to partner with existing agencies, and draw volunteers from the Christian community, to better serve those in need.

The mission of the St. Francesca Resource Center is to serve the Chippewa County residents in need of food assistance and other resources while respecting the inherent dignity of every human person.

The SFRC uses a client choice distribution method which allows our guests to select a predetermined number of items, based on household’s size, from seven different categories which are identified by color coded shelving. This method has been proven to reduce waste.

Steering Committee Members: Dr. Terry Benson, John M. Czech Jr., Jerry Kuehl, Dr. Mary Kuehl, Jeanette Prince, Deacon Dan Rider, Julie Rider, Russell Ruf, Gordy Schafer, Donna Schafer, and Supervisor: Matt Elstran

Did you know…?

Every dollar donated is used to purchase food or other resources which are then distributed to those in our community that need assistance.

By partnering with the Food my People Food Bank, we can leverage your donation dollar. Partner Agencies such as the SFRC are able to purchase many food items from the FMPFB at a cost 15 cents per pound.

If you wish to donate items to the St. Francesca Resource Center, we are open Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm and again from 4 pm to 7 pm.
