In 1912 Rev. J. Callahan, former president of Duquesne University, came as
our new pastor. His assistants were Father Wilhelm and Father O'Rourke. He remained
until 1917. During Father Callahan's administration the present Notre Dame convent
was built. Work of tearing down the old convent was begun April 12, 1915 and the new
cornerstone was laid the same year. Father Callahan was succeeded by Rev. Patrick J. Fullen in 1917.
