Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation
|
The sacrament of Confirmation is the sacrament in which the Holy Ghost is given to those already baptized in order to make them strong and perfect Christians and soldiers of Jesus Christ. This sacrament is the "completion" of our baptism and brings one into full communion with the Catholic church by means of the reception of the Holy Spirit. Confirmation is the last of the Sacraments of Initiation after Baptism, Reconciliation, and the Eucharist.

At the Church of Notre Dame, we prepare our Confirmandi through use of the Catholic Schools and our CCD program. Confirmandi who are not enrolled in Catholic School are given two years of Confirmation preparation time in CCD. Typically, Notre Dame Confirmandi are in 10th grade, unless they are in the RCIA program. Dori Loomis, Coordinator of Religious Education at Notre Dame, is the best contact for more information. religioused [at] thechurchofnotredame [dot] org (subject: Confirmation) (Email Dori) or call 715.723.7108 |
