Anointing of the Sick
![]() |
Anointing of the Sick, or Last Rites, is the sacrament in which one who is gravely ill is blessed according to a certain Catholic rite. This blessing confers the grace of the Lord onto the receipient through the work of the Holy Spirit. Often, this is the last sacrament a Catholic receives before death, although the nearness of death is not a necessity in order to receive this sacrament. |
| Anointing of the sick is a specialized occasion in which a subjective decision as to whether to ask to be annointed occurs. If you or a member of your family is in need of the sacrament, please contact the rectory for your request to be passed onto Father. | ![]() |
